President’s statement

President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has declared that Pakistan is developing and progressing in order to wipe out worldwide terrorism. And the outcomes can be displayed by the government, military and people. Democracy is working well; we have owned the political duties and Pakistani people are with us in order to bring terrorism in an end. The main problem of the country is resources and if the world provides resources to Pakistan, Pakistan can nicely work against Taliban and can spread this work through out all the areas of the world which will be successful for Pakistan.

Balochistan province will be brought towards progressive development and its all requirements will be completed. According to the Pakistani President, people of Balochistan are lovable and we want to heal their wounds.

These are some statements by President Asif Ali Zardari which he stated on 9th of September 2009. Now it looks that Balochistan will enjoy progress like other provinces of Pakistan and moreover, Pakistan’s mission against terrorism is always at high level and worthwhile. But do Balochistan get all the luxuries which are provided to other provinces and what about the terrorism which is prevailed in Pakistan? Firstly, government should act against the terrorism inside country after that think about the entire world.

Province status and autonomy for Gilgit Baltistan

Northern Areas will enjoy a province like status and complete sovereignty which is really nice news for all and sundry. It will also possess its individual assembly council with a sum of 15 members. A governor, chief minsiter and six other ministers are kept for Gilgit. Prime Minister Gilani declared that these areas will be called as ‘Gilgit Baltistan’ and will enjoy the standing of a province. In a special meeting, the government accepted modification package for these areas and through this these Northern areas will be afforded with complete self-rule.
PML-N has greeted the authorization of autonomy for the Northern Areas and has also assured for the support at each pace which designed to convey citizens of these areas into the mainstream. Information Secretary Ahsan Iqbal told to a private channel about PML-N Chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is a great supporter of people of Gilgit-Baltistan Region. He wants that people should be provided with their rights like the people of other areas of the country contain. He wished that the citizens of these areas must be afforded with the resources to get better infrastructure, societal sector and a university must be organized for students to acquire higher studies.
The PML-N leader recommended a development in the legal system plus efficient execution of law and order as there was violent behavior in the areas. He stated that both PML-N and PPP are dedicated to the Charter of Democracy. So let’s see what the future of Gilgit Baltistan is! Do the promises and commitments are fulfilled or not this is the question.

Child Labor and beggary_ the future of Pakistani children!

According to our great leader and founder of Pakistan Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and other Muslim leaders children are the success of nation and country but are these those children who are labors in big factories and industries and other places, instead of studying they do hard and tough jobs and feed the whole family? Or do these children will bring country to the progressive paths who beg for money, food and other stuff? Nowadays child labor and beggary are prevailed at large quantity around the country. The parents of these children are not thinking about the future of their children and country as well. They are unaware of the veracity! Not only above crucial acts are done by children but now they are also used for illegal acts which is a bitter crime in Islam and in Law both. But no one pay heed to this situation but why?

No doubt, parents of such children are also included in such acts because of their bad conditions but, this is the duty of government to provide safe ways to the parents of these children so that their children can get education which is their right and need too. Pakistan is already thick with illiterate people; the majority of population can’t read and write. If the conditions remain same then no doubt the nation will destroy soon! And once again Pakistan will be under domination. If these children are educated well, they will do great jobs for the country and nation like in past our great leaders did. These children are the young scholars and the great leaders, doctors, scientists, and teachers of tomorrow. Children are the very essential asset!

Is Pakistan towards development?

Islamic Republic of Pakistan was that place where the great leaders and politicians used to take oaths and promises and also completed them by hook or by crook. But now the situation has turned; now politicians love to take oaths and very beautifully they promise but no any fulfillment. There are many cases which are promised but still pending, and will remain waiting because now there is no any hope for any fulfillment. The most essential issue is the Kashmir, which is till pending and can never be tackled because of the conditions leaders and politicians. While taking the oath of President, Asif Ali Zardari promised for the resolution of Kashmir issue but no any beam. Same is the case with the leader of Mulim League (N) Nawaz Sharif, he also promised for the resolution of Kashmir issue but is there any better work? No! Raja Perwaiz Asharaf gave his word for the betterment of electricity but where is the progress?

Like Kashmir issue there are also some other issues prevailing in Pakistan such as water, employment, education and many other which are just promised by the leaders and politicians but no any work. Why? Are these promises just for speeches? Is this the development of Pakistan?

What about Meera’s case?

On the complaint of Meera’s alleged husband a case of theft is registered against Lollywood star Meera, her parents, her uncle, brother and brother-in-law. Faisalabad occupant Attiq ur Rehman claimed that he wedded with Meera on September 2, 2007. After coming from abroad on August 28 2009 he found his wife Meera and her family unit in his house who were engaged in stealing his household things counting furniture and pickings. According to Attiq ur Rehman he put himself out to bring them to a halt they hurled him life threats ran away with the burgled gadgets, the police are investigating but no gain until now. Previously, both the parties became visible before the ASP Defence who listened to both of them and later than carrying out investigation ordered the police for listing of case. As Attiq declared that Meera is his wife some days back, he displayed the pictures of their matrimony but Meera disagreed with all this and claimed the black mailing and also wept while press conference. According to Meera she doesn't know Attiq then how could she marry him.

Including this many stories are emerging, what’s going in Meera’s life no one knows. What the truth is not a soul knows but whatever the reality is, this case is the hottest issue every where in news and gossips.

What are your aims in raising a child?

The rearing of children is more and more puzzling for parents in the twentieth century because we have lost a lot of our old fashioned convictions about what kind of morals and ambitions and characters we want them to have. We have even lost our convictions about the purpose of human existence. Instead we have come to depend on psychological concepts. They have been helpful in solving many other smaller problems but they are of little use in answering the major questions.

You may not be conscious of these changes—because you are so much a part of these times or because you grew up in an unusually stable family.

Other countries and times:

In the past it was assumed in many countries that a man’s main function in the world –over and above making a living—was to serve God, by carrying out his purposes as revealed by religion. That’s why in the Middle Ages the churches were by far the most imposing buildings. Much the same was true in America in the colonial period. Children never had an idea that life was for their fulfillment. They were constantly exhorted to overcome their base natures in order to grow up to be pleasing in god’s eyes.

In other place, especially in the past hundred years or so, it has been taught that man’s purpose is to serve his country. This was true to a degree of France of napoleon’s time, the British Empire, the German empire. It has been even more true of some modern states not only of communist states like the Soviet Union but of a democratic ones like Israel. Parents and teachers are in agreement with leaders about what virtues are to be encouraged in children: cooperativeness, studiousness, dedication to specific principles of the nation. Parents don’t have to keep wondering and worrying—about whether they are doing the right thing.

In even more parts of the world it is assumed that children are born and raised to serve the aims of the family—what sociologist call as the extended family or the clan. In childhood and youth they prepare themselves for at the jobs which are valuable one by their particular family. They must as children and later as grown ups revere and defer to the elders. Even in marrying in many countries they must accept marriages that are arranged by their families and parents for the purpose of advancing family welfare.

GEO TV_ should it be banned?

As there are many TV channels working in Pakistan but nowadays there arises an aura against Geo TV, especially it is seen at facebook. People think that this TV channel is not backing or defying any political group, it contains only one agenda to deflate the nation. Is this the time to awaken Pakistanis?

Geo TV is denounced by the Pakistani government plus great sectors of the common public who think the channel supports sensationalism so as to augment profits and fame. Geo TV didn’t even standby disgraceful and revolting tactics to generate feeling. They are just related to "be the only one to give an account", leave it be wide of the mark. Today people think erroneous reporting, incompetent newscasters and defiant state presenters are the reality of Geo which, goes after the dogma that controversy sells. People believe that the channel is noticed as reporting principally disapproving news concerning Pakistan, bringing about a normally disappointing and negative viewer ship practice.
Pakistani government also criticized the channel for the exposure of the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir, seeing that GEO's reporting of the catastrophe contained distressing panoramas of victims and tragedy zones. Now the slogan has turned to “Jeenay Do Geo” which contains some facts.
Only judge, what Jewish/American foyer desires, the key idea is to advance nuisance, and despondence in people so they start to deflate the nation. In order to put future in the minds of illiterate Muslims who don’t know reading but only see.

Following are some facts which people take into account. Why only the dead bodies are flaunted without heads? Do all these are shown by other TV channels? In India more than 2000 Muslims were put to death in Gujarat but was there any exposure on Zee TV, Sony TV or other channels? Was there any live coverage of Babri Mosque when it was being destroyed? Did any Indian channel or CNN or BBC channel exposed the live burning of priests and the church in Tamil ado? 700 cars were burnt to a crisp but no any exposure, why? Like these happenings there were some other mishaps as well but no any coverage, why? People ask question why Indian channels don’t inform about their separatists movements and about the millions of people living at footpaths. Indian Zee TV never exposed killings of Kashmiris and also didn’t show the attack on Golden Temple of Sikhs.

Israeli channels never show the slaughters of Palestinians, why? There is no any Indian politician who abuses live at TV. People ask about 30,000 rape cases in USA that what about their exposure where as the case of Mukhataran Maee was at every channel Geo, CNN, BBC, everywhere. Countless people wonder when they hear about the salaries of Kamran Khan, Hamid Meer, Nadia Khan, dr. Shahid Masood etc. The main question crops up when Geo was unable to broadcast the 8 hour cricket match and they told that they have lost 1 billion rupee but what about those free broadcastings for judge activity, Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto; that was 36 hour broadcasting which was all free but, how? It’s a private channel!Geo shows 50% Indian dramas and 25% is the mix cast of Indian and Pakistani. Moreover, Indian movies are banned in Pakistani cinemas but are broadcasted by Geo. People are asking why Geo doesn’t show the good news about Islamabad, Peshawar Motorway etc but it always exposes dead bodies and killings. There is no any discussion about 5.1 billion dollar of oil refinery industry. Like the above discussed facts there are also some more questions which are asked by people. So what should be the outcome? Is Geo the best channel, doing good job or should be banned?

Is it Pakistan?

On 14th august 1947 Islamic Republic of Pakistan appeared on the World map, after the struggle of many years. Many Muslims lost their valuables for the sake of that homeland which bases upon Islamic teachings.

“Pakistan”, did we ever think about this word? What does it mean? ‘Pak’ means sacred, holy; astan means place – a holy place. That place which is meant for peace, love, friendship, equality and brotherhood. But is it that Pakistan? Is it that sacred place? Is it that homeland for which our great Quaid-e-Azam, our poet Allama Iqbal, our great Muslims fought? Is it that dream of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan which is really fulfilled? My question is from every Pakistani, is it that Pakistan which was the dream of our great Muslims? How we are treating this land? In this present era, is it really the sacred place? I say NO. It’s not that sacred place for which our great leaders, students, Muslims struggled and sacrificed themselves.

I see towards my right a vast valley of blood. I hear from my left screams of innocent people. Every where in Pakistan bomb blasts, honor killings, abjection of law and assassinations of leaders have made their home. This is Pakistan! Now Pakistan isn’t the holy place; it is the place of life threatening acts. Every where I just see the streams of blood, I see those fate less faces who are brutally murdered, I see those innocent children who are whimpering for a single loaf of bread, I see those women- sisters, daughters, mothers, wives who are hitting their heads with wall when they see their brothers, fathers, husbands being slaughtered, I see those poor persons who do their job loyally but are cruelly blamed by riches just not to do the wrong acts as they say.

When I see such blood curdling acts I become utterly numb and dumb. My whole body shivers with pain. I become trashy when I see that riches want to sell and buy the law just to dance innocent people at their tunes, I become terrorized when I see the assassinations of great leaders, I become tortured when I see honor killing is prevailing everywhere, I become startled when I hear about the bomb blasts become broken down when I see the suicidal acts by young generation. When I see the poor are depriving of their due rights I become sad. I become despondent when I see homicide every where. I feel destitute when I see the abjection of law.

When I think about my motherland which is the struggle of our Muslims who shed the every drop of blood for this homeland is going towards destruction; I become forlorn. There was a time when Pakistan was the soul of every Pakistani but, now Pakistan is taken as offal. Now on all accounts we are about-face. We call ourselves Muslims but, we have become evasive of Islam.

I just ask two questions from every Pakistani, is this that Pakistan which was created on the basis of Islamic teachings? And does Islam teach these malicious acts which are prevailing every where in Pakistan?

PROFESSIONAL BEGGARS

Along with the appearance of Ramadan, in different cities and at their different places professional beggars make their homes, especially mosques, signals, and marketplace are their main target. They are extremely clever and know perfectly the nature of a person and get the persons simply by reading their faces. If it is a youngster they start praying for its education and future, if someone is married (men or women) they pray for their marriage life and children and if they hit upon aged people they pray for their next world. Thus, in any case they try to appeal to the people and attract them. Ramadan is the holy month in which zakat and other good doings take place and such type of professional beggars take advantage from this. Aged, young, children and all types of beggars are included in them. Some beggars adopt such type of getup (especially handicap) which forces people to have pity on them and help them in any case. These professional beggars are killing the rights of destitute. In every city and roads such beggars are found and policemen don’t take any pain to warn them but, look blind. It is also seen that through different vehicles little innocent children are brought and placed at streets and roads and signals also for begging and till evening they are took back.
Professional beggars have got an art to hypnotize people and especially in Ramadan and Eid days they brought into play their art. Like at the time of Eid ul Azha they get meat and sell it to the hotels and other places. In this era people don’t know that there are some people who need their help more but never utter help from their gab so, people should try to find out such people among their relatives, acquaintances, neighbors and other connections. Begging is not taken good in any society but it is a curse. There is an appeal to government that they should take right steps for such professional beggars.

Prevalence of wealth

I’m that fate less offal who is hearing the screams of innocent children who are weeping for an only loaf of bread, who is watching the slaughtered persons for the truth’s sake, the poor father licking loyally the boots of riches, the murdered guiltless person whose soul is seeking for solace in the jungle of kindness, a kashmiri, a Bosnian, a Palestinian knocking at the door of UN but are kicked out by money mongers; but, can’t do anything. These all blood curdling spiteful acts are just because of wealth. Due to wealth’s prevalence humanity is declined.

When I see my left, my right, everywhere, I just see riches want to buy the law, powerful persons, leaders want judges change their decisions through black money. I see Socrates consuming the bowl of poison, nelson Mandela revolting against the money stores, Tipu Sultan waging war against the wealthy Westerners and Julius caser being slain by Brutus. Everywhere I witness the wealth assuming wide variety of shapes and shades to deprive the destitute of their due rights. Poor people are tortured and jostled towards the feral fog of aggravation and ignorance.

Wealth’s prevalence is causing awful and brutal acts on the poor people; it is driving us into the deep and dark dungeon of destruction. Just think about that person who dies with fifty and sixty millions and trillions of dollars in the city full of wants and needs, where the withered hands of beggary cut for the sake of a single coin, where virtue, honesty and hard work bury at the foot of fearful vice. Such was the set of cruel conditions prevailing in the society which caused Oliver Goldsmith to say and I quote:
I’ll fares the land, to hastening ills a prey
Where wealth accumulates and men decay,
Princes and lords may flourish or may fade
A breathe can make them as a breathe has made,
But the bold peasantry their country’s pride
When once destroyed can never be supplied.

Thus, shivering mountains, thundering lights, sere flowers and my shaking body shriek shrilly that due to wealth’s intoxication everybody has become blind and deaf-mute!

Every Pakistani – a payer

Peace a far cry!
Pakistan is facing stern, drastic conditions. Through out the world Pakistan is taken as a dark dungeon of terrorism and ominous. Many countries take Pakistan as termite which can cause bad effects upon them. In Pakistan, terrorized mishaps aren’t only prevailing but are increasing day by day. Since the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, danger and fear of terrorism have prevailed everywhere. In Lahore the fight between the rangers and the terrorists’ attack over Srilankan team, bomblasts in Islamabad, imam bargah Chakwal is the witness of prevailed danger in the country and Swat is also included among them. Through these attacks terrorists have flaunted their ultraist terrorism .There was a time when Karachi was called the place of terrorism but, now the whole country is taken as a place of terrorism.

Terrorism is jostling our country towards the blood of innocent people and obscurity. But due to all these life threatening awful acts our security agencies are taken as a question mark. Our government has become destitute and badly despondent that it knows about the attacks, about the steps of terrorists but can’t do anything as terrorists always do their work sagaciously. Government can just alert or inform people but can’t save their lives. Safety is left over people themselves. This is the one angle but on the other angle America is playing game through drone attacks to wipe out Pakistan from the map of atomic power. At the era of PPPP 78 drone attacks killed innumerable innocent Pakistanis, their reckoning is infinite and now the same situation is about to prevail. America is blaming that alqaida is present in Pakistan. Here Taliban’s’ camps are surrogate. Stealthy Taliban’s’ camps are being run. Pakistani agencies are working for Taliban’s surreptitiously and America has got the evidence. But is the evidence really accurate or is just presumptive evidence? After all these hideous blames, American forces are about to spread in, so can we expect good from America? Can we expect that America wants to help us, treat us according to our volition? Should we reckon upon America? No, never ever. Even not only America but many countries have venom to snatch, seize powers from Pakistan. They want to split Pakistan. They want to get the upper hand. In order to achieve so they want to jostle Pakistan in many pressing conditions. In order to solve them out, Pakistan will surely want America’s help but, then Pakistan won’t remain powerful. After that there won’t be any vestige of Pakistan in the atomic world. But our Government and renowned leaders are just watching this whole play as the Pakistanis aren’t of their land but are their foes. We all are mute-deaf because America is providing subvention. When America throws off the mask, we’ll feel remorse.

As Pakistan is now based upon terrorism and America’s subvention, it has to pay a lot. Can we imagine the upshot of Pakistan? But in this condition, every Pakistani will be chewed in the teeth of America’s tyranny. Every Pakistani will pay!

Looking for freedom_ fishermen

Since the establishment of Islamic Republic Of Pakistan, Pakistan is facing crucial relations with India regarding fishermen. Fisheries industry holds high position in Pakistan. Different kinds of fish are exported all over the world and much profit is achieved but the developers of this industry are very poor and in bad conditions because, these fishermen reside there in sea world to catch fish where they face several different problems and bad happenings and in the midst of these bad undertakings there is one big hurdle Indian guards who fire at Pakistani fishermen and imprison them in their country’s jails. Up till now there are a lot of Pakistani fishermen who are spending their lives in Indian jails and there is not any actual hope of freedom for them. For this matter, government always assure for their independence but useless because, there are countless Pakistani fishermen about whom no one knows whether they are alive or dead; no any sign is found regarding them.

For such fishermen, their family unit slogs hard and faces the sticky situations but no any help is provided by the government. Why? Aren’t they human being and Pakistani? No matter they are poor but are the developers of Pakistan also. Countless captive fishermen are looking forward for their freedom but they don’t know there is no one to listen to them. Really sad and shameful also!

Educational conditions in Pakistan

When the light is thrown over the educational institutions, two areas come into view_ government institutions and the private sector. If the talk is about government institutions their condition is too dire. The strength of students is too less and they just appear for the final examinations. No any facility is provided in government schools and colleges, the buildings are extremely in ruined form even too many problems are found there. No good management of water and seats is the main and regretful problem there. Teachers come to teach once in a blue moon and if they come their, they do not attend the classes. Due to such lack of attendance and avoidance the students do not posses any information regarding their subjects and they are the possessors of zero information. This is the reason behind copy culture and cheating. Both students and teachers simply look illiterate!

While on the other hand, the private sector claims that they are the holder of 80% education. They are surely right to some extent but their pricey fees and charges don’t allow all to study there; their sky-scraping fees is only affordable for rich families not the middle one. Thus, what will be the future of today’s youth? If they prefer government institutes, teachers aren’t available there and students pass their time in politics and other gangs or groups. But if they go for private places, they do not have enough money to pay for them. It will be much advisable if there is just one correct administration for education_ no government or private sector at all!

Strikes in Pakistan_ the only solution?

This has become an endemic custom in Pakistan that whenever there is any religious, political or other conflicts, stores, shops and further other places are closed and there occurs a call for a strike. Of course, a strike is armor for democracy however it is used as a last option but, here in Pakistan it is brought into play firstly as a foremost part. It has turned out to be the habit of political and religious parties and other people. This is really a remorseful doing, by doing so not only we spoil the economics of our country but this act is bad for a layman too; a common person is also affected badly. In Pakistan there is a community who earns daily and spends the hard earned money on daily basis but if such sorts of strikes occur 3 or 4 times in a month, such kind of community suffers a lot. Conversely, the picketers who want to swell fear and terror everywhere in the country takes advantage from such happenings and they fire at cars, petrol pumps, shop, banks and other places and moreover hurt and injure people through firing and other malicious acts.

No doubt, the great societies of the world rise disputes but they don’t behave so as we do; their behavior is completely different from us. The main raison d'être is that we take strikes the only solution owing to our amiss appraisal, we shouldn’t go along with those people who call for strikes each day and wound society and mar the peace just to show their power and influence. If we covet to develop ourselves and our dear homeland we are required to think constructive and do positive also and seek to ignore strikes. If we own such thought, we can enjoy nonviolent society and we can be in the black too. Strikes aren’t the only solution but they jostle towards obliteration and ignorance.

Musharrafs’ Trail

Well friends we are living in Pakistan; a country, which got independence after a long struggle and efforts of our brave leaders. Now it is 62 years old. We should be proud of our then leaders that gave us a state to live in a free life. The governments came and passed but most of the time an army dictator ruined the constitution and took over the government by force. Four army chiefs ruined the democratic norms and took over the government and still nobody was there to ask them about their actions. Gen. Musharraf the ex-army chief and the past president of Pakistan is one of the example.
He ruined the law; forcefully he sent the then prime minister into jail and enforced emergency in the country. This was his first violation. Later he became the president of Pakistan. During his presidency he crossed his limits by abrogating the constitution twice.
He imposed the emergency on 3rd November 2007. This act was highly condemned by the democratic forces in the country.
He not only abrogated the sacred document of the state but also did such actions, which were cruel and ruthless in nature i.e. “Lal Masjid Operation”, and killing of Bugti (the Baloch leader). He not only violated the constitution but also attacked on the 3rd most important pillar Judiciary. A new movement started after this action by not only the lawyers but by the civil society against Musharraf. Another incident that occurred during his regime was the approval of NRO. It was a blunder of his government due he also had to leave the government.
So this kind of person should not be let run away without any charge or punishment. He violated the constitution and anyone who violates the constitution is under the charge of high treason and the punishment according to the article 6 of the constitution is death or life imprisonment. He must be trailed so that in future no general could dare violate the constitution again.

AFGHAN ELECTIONS 2009

Everybody is very hopeful regarding the current presidential elections in Afghanistan. About 41 candidates took part in the elections that were held 20th august 2009. The US government as well as the NATO forces had done preparations in order to tackle the taliban insurgency. Taliban had already threatened the Afghan government that they would not let the so-called elections be carried out peacefully. Taliban threatened the people in Afghanistan not to cast their vote otherwise they would face serious consequences. The US troops and the NATO forces ensured the foolproof security measures in Kabul and other parts on the Election Day. On the other hand Pakistani government was told to seal its western borders as it was also a part of the security measures.
During election the turnout was not satisfactory though the western media and the UN officials highlighted the turn out as satisfactory. The women turn out was more or less 1% in the elections as they were scared of taliban reaction, as they had done in the past elections. The taliban had thrown acid on some of the ladies who had casted their votes in the past elections.
Elections took place and in the first round both the strong candidates i.e. the incumbent president Mr. Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah have claimed their victory. However, according to the results Nr. Karzai has a slighter edge on his opponent Abdullah Abdullah. Abdullah Abdullah put strong allegations that of rigging in the elections on the incumbent president. According to him, the election was a complete fraud.
On the other hand, Pakistan being a neighbor country of Afghanistan has deep concerns regarding the elections. Pakistan is waiting to see that who would be the next president of Afghanistan. Both the strong candidates, Mr. Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah are pro India. As far as Mr. Karzai is concerned, he has been judged in the past and Pakistani government is now used to him. But Abdullah Abdullah could be more dangerous because he was from a party that is anti Pakistan. Well right now Pakistani government focus more on the elections for bringing stability in Afghanistan, as it is in the interest of Pakistan as well.

US LOSING WAR IN AFGHANISTAN

Seven years have passed since US troops deployed in Afghanistan. US with its allies & NATO forces are busy containing the Taliban and Al-Qaeeda forces. The western troops are trying their level best to clear the region from the so-called Taliban but in spite of all their efforts, the Taliban and Al-Qaeeda are gaining more control each day. According to the CIA chief Mr. Mullen, Taliban are now more equipped, having sophisticated tactics and better insurgency plans. US forces are badly losing the prolonged battle in Afghanistan.
US government has released massive funds for the so-called war on terror in Afghanistan.
More troops are sent to the area in order to contain the Al-Qaeeda and Taliban forces. Six intelligence agencies are working in the region to put a check on Taliban insurgency. All those steps are gone in vain as the forces are increasing their strength in the afghan area as well as on the borders very importantly the southern border close to Pakistan.
Soviets fought war in the area for ten years but in the end they left the area with heavy losses and casualties and due to which the Soviet Union disintegrated. Harsh terrain of the Afghan area is also one of the cause due to which the US Afghan War losing its ground.
Though Obama government is still very hopeful about the war in Afghanistan that they would clear the area from the terrorists but they are unaware of the anti sentiments in Afghanistan for USA. Even in USA the people are not happy with the prolonged war in the region. The Obama regime has yet not achieved the huge target in the area. The polls in USA have shown that the people are against the US led war in Afghanistan.

GOVERNMENT FAILED TO CONTROL PRICE HIKE IN THE PROVINCE

People give vote to their favorite leaders during elections with the hope that this time the new government will provide some relief to the poor citizens of Pakistan. But again poor people are wrong. The new government of NWFP (Pukhtunkhwa) promised the nation after being elected that they would do their best to provide relief but they are failed to deliver their promises.
It is the second Ramadan-ul-Mubarak that started in this government. One would say that God has given them a second chance to make correct policies and do not disappoint the poor nation. Though the government has chalked out various pre-Ramadan plans in order to control the prices but the output is zero. Government issued orders to the wholesale dealers that they should display the rate lists and sell the items according to the displayed rate list. Government took the steps through magistrates and commissioners to ensure crackdown against the hoarders and profiteers. Government also issued orders to open Ramadan bazaars, Itwar bazaars and utility stores in which commodities would be available on low prices for the consumers. Utility stores would be provided sufficient stock of necessary commodities.
On the other hand the situation is totally opposite as the market price and the government set price is completely different. The wholesale dealers and retailers are selling the commodities on their own prices and not on the prices set by the government. Shopkeepers are not displaying the rate lists. The retailers are fleecing the common man in the holy month of Ramadan and there is no one to inquire about the worst situation. The orders of the government regarding the control of prices are ineffective.
Being Muslims and living in an Islamic country, we should perform our duties well during the holy month of Ramadan. But no, there are some people who, for their interest, play with the innocent poor citizens just for some amount of profit. It has now become a trend that prices get high of the daily routine commodities during Ramadan. People of Pakistan are now used to it.
May Good God give a little courage to the responsible officials to correct the system and provide some sort of relief to the people!

WHERE IS KASHMIR IN CURRENT PAKISTAN CRISIS

Pakistan has indulged itself in war against terrorism so much that the core issues are being put aside. Kashmir issue is one of them. Today we are not watching any development in resolution of Kashmir dispute on television channels.
Though a Kashmiri committee is formed that is being supervised by Maulana Fazl-u-Rehman; member of national assembly, JUI chief and the government coalition partner.
He has raised this core issue on the floor of national assembly many times. According to him, US war on terror has changed Pakistan priorities due to which the core issue of Kashmir has been dropped in background.

Prime minister on the other hand, remarked that Kashmir issue is the core pillar of foreign policy of Pakistan. According to our prime minister if any of our Kashmir committee members have any concerns regarding Kashmir issue will be solved. He directed the minister for foreign affairs to brief them and satisfy the committee.
Mr. Prime minister forgets one thing that it is not the problem of Kashmir committee but the issue of Pakistan. Thus instead of giving a brief to the members committee, he should work in order to start high level meetings with India again. CBMs merely facilitate the negotiations as they are unable to solve the disputes on proper level. Thus it is imperative that all constructive proposals should either be countered or new feasible proposals should be placed before the regional and world community.

Pakistani government should raise the issue of Kashmir once again on regional and world level. The Indian government is trying to portray Kashmiri struggle for freedom as terrorist activity in the region. It is the right time for Pakistan to put this agenda on the negotiating table with India. The Pakistani government should not forget the main issue i.e. Kashmir cause while discussing other matters with US authorities. The Indian Kashmiri leader’s hope that Pakistan would carry the process forward and will not disappoint the Kashmiri people.

SUGAR CRISIS IN PAKISTAN 2009

It is not the first ever sugar crisis in Pakistan as we have seen for years that such crisis engulfed our country whether it is sugar, w heat or something else. People of Pakistan are now used to listen and tolerate such painful matters. Unfortunately, none other then our so-called leaders sitting in the governing seats create these issues. We are an agricultural state. A study revealed that sugarcane is the second largest non-food crop after cotton and ranks fifth in respect of acreage. Problems that can cause sugar crisis are as follows:

1) Prolonged drought and heat stress decreased its production by 22 per cent in 1999-2000, and further 17 per cent in 2000-01.

2) There has been confrontation between growers and millers over price. Growers demand higher wages for their raw material and millers complain about increase in production cost and imports.

3) Late crushing causes dissatisfaction as well as financial loss to both, farmers and millers.

4) Other problems are stagnant cane yield, non-payment of dues to growers by mills, and low import parity prices.

During a research it was found that more than 65 per cent farmers have decreased the total area under cane production due to water shortage, behavior of the mills’ management, late payments, increased input cost, and diseases and rodent attack.
Now that there is a decrease in sugar cane crop and thus in sugar production by mills, some mill owners and the profiteers are busy in hoarding sugar. The prices go high with this and in the end the real sufferers are the poor consumers who have to buy the essential amount on a much higher price.

The responsibility lies on the shoulders of the governing bodies. But unfortunately what they do is to issue an order of crack down and call for a committee to make a report and present it in the parliament that is of no use because any committee has not showed effective outcome so far. Though the crack down was made but the real guilty party of hoarding sugar was not brought into justice. The reason is that most of them are sitting in the parliament.

The government has failed in adopting a proper agriculture policy. There is no planning at any level for important crops, including sugarcane, and no monitoring system. Our economic advisors should suggest such a mechanism to the government that enables the local industry to survive while the price of this essential item remains within the reach of the consumers. One way to get out of this perplex situation is to sacrifice on the part of the government either in the shape of withdrawal of sales tax or to give subsidy to this sector as is being practiced in India.

The government should put into trial the real culprits of sugar crisis no matter whoever they are or whatever they may be. They should not be let run away with their crime. Otherwise it would be a shame for our country and people will be compelled to call them “thieves” of the nation.

What is politics all about?

Many many think that politics is a method used by different political parties to take hold of power chair. though thi answer is somewhat correct in context of few states but I believe that plitics is more than that. Politics is a technique that runs the entire world's system.

It is for this reason that politics is also identified as dirty game where one or sometimes more than one state may engange itself in to such activities which would look and appear as humanitarian but infact are harming many other small (mostly under-developed) countries in many ways.

The readers of this post are invited to add their comments and views about politics.

why are the lawyers turning violent?

Are they the same lawyers that contributed to change Pakistan history? If yes then What is ths violence all about. Dont tell me it is another media tactics to make news. Most probably lawyers had been enganged insuch activities before too.

The Bhutto's

I am about to share a number of pictures related to Bhutto family. Though they all are not immediate family of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto but they are related to this great man in some way.

Why Is PPP so quite?

One may wonder that despite the killing of Batiullah, (if he really is dead) why is the government of People’s party so quite. One cannot find any signs of pleasure or celebration on their part. Don’t they remember that it is the same Baitullah who took the responsibility for the assassination of their leader Benazir Bhutto!

Absolute power and tolerance

Fidel Castro of Cuba, Jamal Abdul Nasser of Egypt, Hitler from Germany, Mussolini of Italy, Stalin from USSR and many more are found in the chapters of history that have exercised absolute power. History is full of references with such individualistic efforts thereby cleansing the society from the evils that have contributed towards destabilizing and hampering injustice through the use of absolute power in various forms and combinations. Though some of them have not achieved to be recognized as super powers, economic giants but still they are narrated in history for there worth mentioning evil or heroic era of exercising absolute power with minimum and maximum support.

Pakistan with a short history after partition has a long tale thereby usage of absolute power has encroached in the operation for most of the time in different governments that have baton to fix Pakistan ending with there end or wealth of the nation. One must not doubt the intentions of any leader or dictator in this respect because the graph of social sector grooming downwards has too witnessed an increase in the graph of uncompleted maturation projects. The maturation projects remained incomplete for cynical reasons varying from inadequate recourses to inappropriate strategic planning’s. Historical perceptions, identity crises, dual standards of education and many more have been primary challenges in Pakistan and all absolute power holders have found them a mean to grasp the control of plane but with no flying skills.

Not only these factors have challenged absolute authority’s power but some external factors too have had there unnecessary roles engaged in politics of Pakistan. A bleeding wound for a super power during bipolarity causing its disintegration unfortunately has the longest border with Pakistan vigorously affecting Pakistan’s economy and infesting its security parameter since long. Amid encountering Afghanistan factor, champion of strategic planning is found engaged under influence of another super power. While supporting its war on terror his absolute power turns into coalition of the willing. The coalition of willing was then dependent for support from the western world in order to prolong its rule any way as a result of defiance. Unable to distinguish or accept one’s diminishing popularity he had to conduct the general elections and in doing so the absolute power was found in face of distrust the entire nation had for him. The implementing priorities has been talked for long in Pakistan and after eight years of continuous unfortunate incidents taking place especially in year 2007 when a bombardment of weak links emerged with the general elections viewed as a pre-poll rigged one; results brought an end to all pre poll allegations and negative apprehensions. One must appreciate the bold stance taken by absolute power in Pakistan. During the campaigning season the indigenous assumptions and ground realities only supported the opposition parties’ statements of an Anarchic situation in Pakistan. And now the elected parties must work towards the maturation of Pakistan and prohibit acting in a stereotypical ways making us a laughing stock and black humor for rest of the world.

Well said by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto that, ‘tolerance is not the monopoly of any religion’. Propagating and humiliating any religion on the basis of an individual or community’s act is intolerance in itself. Provoking public sentiments is a larger sin and sign of intolerance when a religion, culture or historical heritage is targeted for gaining power and subjugating others.
